Annie May Scripture was born on 10 Nov 1861 to Oliver Shipley Scripture and Mary Ann Richardson in Glenburn, Penobscot County, Maine1,2,3.

Annie appeared on the 1870 US Federal Census in Glenburn with her parents and siblings at the age of eight years4. She appeared on the 1880 US Census in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine at eighteen years old, occupation “coat maker”5.

Annie May Scripture married Arthur S. Fogg on 20 Apr 1884 in Bangor6. Her sister, Lizzie Scripture, married Arthur S. Fogg’s brother, Walter D. Fogg. Arthur and Annie had at least five children:

  1. Arthur B. Fogg, born about 1886
  2. Nellie C. Fogg, born 1887 (died as an infant)
  3. Pearl E. Fogg, born about 1890
  4. Bertha D. Fogg, born 3 Apr 1891
  5. Oliver S. Fogg, born about 1893 (died as an infant)

Arthur and Annie Fogg appeared on the 1900 and 1910 US Censuses in Bangor, living on Ohio Street7,8.

In 1920, Annie and her husband Arthur Fogg were both enumerated on the US Census, living in the home of their son Arthur B. Fogg9. Arthur died in 1926. Annie appeared on the 1930 US Census, still living with her son Arthur10.

Annie May Scripture Fogg died in 1939 in Bangor11.
