George W. Call was born about 3 Jun 1852 to Ephraim Call and Caroline F. Lowry1. He appeared on the 1860 US Federal Census in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine when he was eight years old2. On the 1870 US Census he was 18 and living in Hermon, Penobscot County with his parents and siblings, no occupation given3.

In the 1873 directory of the City of Bangor, George W. Call is listed as living on Ohio Street, boarding with his father Ephraim Call, occupation “farmhand”4. The 1875 and 1877 Bangor city directories also describe him as living on Ohito Street with his parents, working as a photographer5,6.

George W. Call died 7 Nov 1878 at twenty six years of age7,8,9.
