Ora A. Perkins was born Orianna A. Ham in 1861. She appears on the 1870 US Federal Census in Bangor, Penobscot County, Maine, on Valley Avenue living with her father Enoch L. Ham1. She appears in the 1880 US Census again on Valley Avenue in Bangor, working as a servant in the home of Horace Jordan2.

Ora married Charles W. Perkins sometime between 1880 and 1882 and they had one daughter, Mildred E. Perkins in 1882. She appears on the 1900, 1910, 1920, and 1930 US Federal Censuses on Valley Avenue in Bangor, living with her husband and daughter3,4,5,6. Ora A. Perkins died in 19357.
